Are the Engines the same?

Are all the 7.3's in a time span the same.. as in 2000 7.3 Excursion, E350, 450, F250, 350 etc. I found a WP for a 2000 E450, seems to have the same part number.. F81Z-8501ARM

Thanks

If the part number is the same, then it's ok to swap it out.

There are differences in these engines between years, and even between a van and a truck. Van turbos are different than truck turbos. Early '99 trucks had a different compressor wheel. Starting late 2001, the rods were swapped from forged to PMR's. ECM codes vary by year, and even vary in the same year. The list goes on and on......

I believe it had to do with transmission longevity.
