strange noise up front
Today when i was leaving from work i noticed a really loud squeaking noise from up front when i turn the wheel or when i hit bumps. I have had many leads on what it may be but not sure. I have been told maybe the lower ball joints and others are saying the steering pump need some help asap thanks

It does sound like a ball joint. Same thing with my Dad's 95 Crown Vic. His are "lifetime" greased & garage said thier still ok for now. Pop the truck up in the air & check for wheel slop. Put a big lever under the tire & pry up. Try to watch the mechs behind the tire.

I might suggest you post some more information about your Ranger or B, year, mileage, engine, transmission [manual vs. auto], for example, to help further narrow what your front end noise could be. For example there can be a big difference in the engine, steering and suspension components depending simply on the year of the truck and whichever engine. The more specific you are the more help you may get. Just a thought.
