I just installed a cheap Sirius One satellite radio in the wife's 1998 Exploder.
It's got a JVC KD-SX980 head unit in it.
With the engine running I've got static through the Sirius. No static with the engine off or on AM or FM. I've tried setting the Sirius on a bunch of different FM stations but that doesn't make any difference.
I checked the connections at the stock antenna and back of the head unit.
I tried uplugging the alternator.....no change. A different stock noise suppressor on the ignition coil.....no change.
The power and ground to the Sirius are hooked up to the wires going to the head unit. I tried them to the power point as well. No change.
I plugged in another Sirius One and it was the same too.
Anyone seen anything similar before?
