Smile 47 pickup door lock

Hello everyone! I'm new to this forum as I just recently acquired a 47 ford pickup. I'm in the process of repairing, replacing, restoring numerous items. If anybody could answer a question about the passenger side door lock-it would be very appreciated. The vehicle sat for several years and there were no keys. The door opens from the inside but will not open from the outside. The set screw on the lock was ruined when someone tried to drill it out at some point in time. Is this door just locked and it needs to be rekeyed or is something else wrong? I've owned this for less than a month and overcome some challenges, but this has me frustrated...
