I will be replacing my pads and rotors on my 04 250 5.4l. Disc brake quite for the rear of the pads and is never sieze good for the caliper slides or should I use something else?
I wouldnt be name calling, just starts trouble. You need to type your words more clearly, only thing I caught in your post was somthing about front brakes.
The high pitched noise is usually caused by the pads vibebrating, not by the pads making contact with the rotor.
There are compounds that you apply to the backing plates that are suppose to stop the noise. Also stick on shims, but they start to slide off and get stuck between the caliper and rotor.
Never use Anti seize on brake parts!!!!!! It cannot handle the heat, and will just run off. Use a good caliper grease, most places have it REALLY cheap, and its designed for the high heat.
Any grease base product even "high temp" will attract dust and dirt to grind things up. For many years (25 plus) I have used dry film Moly spray at every pad change. No pads hang up or stick and drag. JMO on what works for me.
