no heat

Ok about 4 months ago I had to replace my water pump and now it only blows cool air. Before the change that heater would blow me out the truck. See there is a big problem with this, I now live in Alaska so I need this fixed ASAFP. Any suggestions or input will be greatly appreciated. All the vents and selecters still work. It is a 1988 F-150 4x4 with 302 and auto tranny.

Have you checked to make sure the coolant is flowing through the hoses? If coolant is flowing the hoses will be hot.

Yeah I checked to make sure there was enough coolant and the hoses are hot.

If your temperture control is working then you may have a pen or some other item that has fallen down the vent and is keeping the blend door from closing.

Wink

Your heater core is probably air locked. Remove a hose and run water from a garden hose through it until the air bubbles out. Its a typical problem.
