Just wanted to say hi.
I have ALWAYS been a chevy driver, and after 6 weeks of research, test drives, heartburn, and stress, I Decided that the 2006 Ford F-250 Diesel crew cab, 4wd, short bed, Lariat was the truck for me. I just picked the truck up yesterday from the dealer with only 7 miles on it. This is the first vehicle I have ever bought new, and the most expensive vehicle I have ever bought. Also it is the only vehicle I have ever owned that was in a color that I really liked, True blue. I will be using this truck not only as my family vehicle, but also for my boat maintenance company. It is not yet 24 hours since I took this truck home, and I have already put 200 miles on it. AND LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!
I have been reading this forum for a few weeks now, and would like to just say thank you to all those that have posted information about their trucks. Without them, I would have gone back to a chevy 2500.
I am trying to post a question and can not find how to do it so going this way. I have a 1982 step side f150. Gas gauge not working properly -goes up to half full. Bought a new unit (for a F14 A tank) and put it in and gauge only went to "empty". Took it out and connected it and moving the float arm made the gauge read full and everything in between. But when I put it back in the tank it only registers empty. Any help as to why.
