Hello all, I am a new first-time owner of an older Ford Truck. Found a 1977 F250 4x4 highboy on Craigslist from a single owner who bought it new as a hunting truck all those years ago. The truck needs lots of love and has had some hard use.
I have already had the C6 transmission rebuilt and the front tie rod replaced. I have been able to do a few things myself (not being a mechanic at all but interested in learning!) like new wheels and tires, replacing the front locking hubs, swapping the destroyed bench seat with a bit better one from the junkyard as well as getting some new bumpers and other bolt-on items in place.
I've been reading many threads on Ford-Trucks.com as I work through issues and I'm up against some electrical gremlins that are beyond my skill level so I thought it was time to sign up.
Enjoying the truck and the experience. Looking forward to participating on the forums.
