i have a 89 f150 4x4 with the 4.6 and an automatic tranny, i want to put huge *** mud tires on the thing but i have 17" rims and as you probably know tires for 17" rims cost an arm and a leg and possibly a kidney.
i want to know if 15" rims will fit over my calipers, because that would make my tire buying experiece a lot more comfortable.
also i think it would be helpful if someone where to look up the minimum wheel sizes for all ford trucks and make some sort of chart, or post a link to a pre-existing chart. that would probably help out a lot of people looking to buy knew wheels and tires.
You can search through old threads, and there is lots of info about this. And I know I have seen someone say they did fit a 15 inch on a 97ish truck, but there was zero room between the calipers and rim. I do believe he also said that the balancing weights got ripped off right away too. So will they fit? Probably. Weill they fit so you can drive the truck? Probably not!
