A week ago today, My truck was hit, I don't know by who or where exactly. But I do know that it did just take off some of the chrome above the fog light, some paint under the headlight and there is a scratch on the hood/right front quarter panel right by the hood. Do you know of anything to do about the chrome? I know my dad said we can just take it and they can tape it off and buff and paint the places that took the black off, is there anything you can do for the chrome?
FWIW... when I priced a chrome bumper (w/fog openings) for my '05 it was only 230$.
So hopefully a chromer will be less.
I'm sure it will be a lot less if you have the bumper already off for the chromer.

I asked my dad about it and he said that he didn't see a reason to fix the chrome.. So I guess if I want the chrome fixed I have to cough up 230 bucks.. But how much do you think they will charge to sand and paint those 2 spots?
What I have done with scratched bumpers and motorcycle fenders to keep it from rusting is to scrub the area with a brillo pad and get it really clean. then I apply a small amount of clear epoxy glue over the scratch. It doesn't fix it but it keeps it the same and prevents rust. You could also put a little clear polyurathane in the scratch.
