Question

Well because ford is hurtin now I am going to be buying a new truck tomorrow and im going with an f150 crew cab. my question is what is the real difference between the lariat and fx4 crew cab leather interior. I dont know which one to buy what do you recommend. I hunt a lot so i will be needing an off road vehicle but isnt the lariat with skid plates pretty much the same and fx4. thanks

Unless you just have to have the carbon fiber interior accents of the FX4, then I think you'll enjoy the Lariat a lot more ... especially if the price is not the issue. Check out http://www.fordvehicles.com/trucks/f150/features/ (OPTIONS). You can easily see the optional versus standard options on the FX4 and Lariat. With the Lariat, you get more comfortable seating (little softer in my opinion), more buttons/controls (steering wheel), automatic temperature control EATC, message center, optional garage door opener (HomeLink), and lighted visors. As for skid plates, they're optional on the Lariat 4X4 ... so no worries.

Couldn't agree more.

I would get the Lariet because it is the only way to get the automatic temperature control as was mentioned. That's the only thing I would add to my XLT if I could. I've had it on 3 cars and it is habit forming.

I wish my XLT was 4x4 at the least, would of enjoyed a Fx4, but yeah.. Dad said "no, that is ridiculous."
