Upgraded Turbo??
Hey everyone! I'm looking for a little help. My 04 PSD has a history of the CEL coming on every time I tow my 7000 lb. trailer. The dealer has changed the EBP sensor,throttle body,(neither has solved the problem) and today I got a new turbo. I understand they have an upgraded turbo. Looking at past posts I see different part #'s stated as the new upgraded turbo. My work order says they installed part # 1 5C3Z*6K682*DA. The tech went home for the day and the service writer didn't know if this was the latest turbo. Does anyone know if this part # is the upgraded turbo for the 04?? any of them can be "updated". The part number can also be mounting position. When the turbos are sent in to be remanufactured, some have a relief machined into the housing. The early 6.0 had a lot of clearance between the housing and unison ring--no relief necessary.
