Engine block heater???

I just want to know if my F150 came stock with the engine block heater. Haven't had time to really check for it yet... but here is the info, its a 1997 F150 XLT with the 5.4 liter and offroad package. Built at the Kansas City plant, sold in Iowa. I have all of the documentation from the original purchase, the truck was bought new by a friend of the family, my dad purchased it from him and then he sold it to me. I am now in Alaska and cannot reach our old friend. Any info about where it is located and such would be helpful too, I know it replaces a freeze plug close to the starter. Would any codes or vin or anything let me know??? Thanks, schmidty

My information shows that it is located on the driver side of the block. It will be located in one of the freeze plugs and the plug-in will be routed towards the front of the vehicle. If that turns up negative look on the passenger side. Shouldn't be too hard to find if you can see the plugs.

I didn't find a vin code for it.

If you don't have one, you should look into a circulating coolant heater, goes into the lower rad hose, and warms the coolant through the block, and heater system.
