I bought a 2006 F250 PSD to pull 2 different trailers. One is a 27' travel trailer and the integrated brake controller has proved to be the best thing since sliced bread. But then I bought a 39' 5ver and suddenly I'm getting a rather violent pulsating when I apply the brakes while pulling it.
Any ideas?
I've seen other posts with vague references to issues with hydro/elec brakes (5ver has these) but none of those posts are comprehensive enough to determine if that applies to my truck, year, model, etc.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. It's a little scary pulling 14k and having the brakes doing that.
do you use an adapter for the other trailer..meaning like the trailer has a 6 round plug on it and you plug it into an adapter that plugs into the truck? I had a simiilar problem towing my trailers that were 6 round plugs using the adapter. I had to take the adapter apart and change the blue wire to the black post and cut the black wire..blue wire being brake feed and black being an aux wire. All i know is it works now and the brakes are working properly.
