quick question
Hi Everyone.
Will 29 X 10.5 - 15 tires fit on a stock 1970 F100 wheels. I have a 15'' wheels, but I don't know if they will handle the 10.5. Thanks in advance for any help.

if it wore in the middle, it was more than likely from tire pressure than the tire being too wide....

Rim width match tread width?
Undersize rims are ok for off road only to protect the sidewalls from damage. Heck you can mount 10.50's on a 4" wide rims that doesn't make it right or cause center tread wear from over inflation. It will handle like a wart hog in the twisties.

any tire will wear from over inflating. it dont matter what size tire on what size rim

12.00 x 33 x 16.6 tires on 9.75" rims the only rim width recommended for that tire will wear the centers from new with only 18 psi on the rear of a empty truck. When parked the center tread area is 3/16" lower than the outside tread, the tires balloon out or grow at highway speeds in the center like top fuel rags. Mount 13" Pinto tires on a 8" rim then inflate to 50 psi the edges will wear before the center does. Extremes taken to both ends of the tire rim combinations and people have done it. Just a little persnickety tonight.
