Ram Assist Steering Setup - What's wrong with it?
Just wondering why all the negative feeling about this type of setup. I have a 77 Highboy and it seems to work okay. Are they prone to certain types of failure? Any feedback would help.

If you are in texas, you don't have to worry about winter conditions. Salt,snow,cold, very wet conditions! That seems to be the killer here in Ontario. Any highboys left up here are all Power steering box conversions of some kind. Probably works great for dry/clean road conditions, as long as its warm. Only time you see that system here is if its a Restoration and they want it stock.
