1994 F350 4wd
crew cab
7.3 turbo diesel
e40d
206k miles
comes with curtiss plow
tires need replacing
new parts:
brakes, master cylinder, radiator, grille, fenders, hood, tailgate, computer.
rebuilt engine, 50k miles on it, cost $4500
diesel tune up, $650
rebuilt tranny, 200 miles on it, with transferrable warrenty
autotrader listing
is it worth $7000?
what is a diesel tune up?
any opinions?

i didnt put this in here, i posted in general auto, the mod moved it.
also its an auto and it has a overdrive on/off button on the end of the shifter.
the trans code on the door says "E"

I'd say no way it's worth that for the truck.....but I have no idea what the plow is worth, so the question becomes is it worth it to you.
Considering that it has obviously had a difficult life I'd probably start with an offer $1500 or so below the asking price. JMO.

owner says he got the plow 2 yrs ago and only plowed his small commercial property.
hood is primer black, fenders are painted.
underside of cab has only surface rust on the seams, bed has aftermarket quarter panels just screwd on, primer black.
interior seems like it has the 206k miles

I think it all depends on who did the re-building and what they did. There can be a huge amount of variability and you may be buying a white elephant or on the other hand this may be the greatest bargain out there.
I would have no trouble with $7,000 if I knew and trusted the engine and tranny rebuilders.
Since I don't, I would not pay a nickel for the truck.
