had oil changed at quick lube and next day i had oil in coolant bottle. Took it the dealer and they said it was head gasket or possibly egr cooler. They also sait turbo may be bad and too much boost but truck runs smooth no loss of power or missing. they want $5100 to replace head gaskets, egr cooler and turbo but sounds fishey
may be that Jiffy Jerk-It lube kid poured the oil in the coolant bottle or radiator?
I wouldn't let those kids touch an oil change in my old McCollugh chain saw
any oily foaming in crankcase oil to indicate coolant flowing into crankcase?
sounds like this dealer shop is taking a 10 gauge shotgun to it with you footing the bill for shells
take it to another dealer for evaluation even if you have to flat bed it
i agree, i would get another opinion. its true that oil in coolant does usually mean blown head gasket but its just about imposible to have one of those and not see any performance issues. if your truck is running fine i would have another oil/coolant change and see if it was jiff *** who screwed it up.
keep it ford

It is most likely the oil cooler that is leaking. Take your truck to another dealership. You don't want them working on your truck if they think oil will get into your coolant from the head gaskets or egr cooler.
Sorry guys 2003 F350 6.0 I tried flushing coolant and test driving but same result 2 quarts oil loss in 45 minuite drive. I consulted dealer with possibality of oil cooler and was told there estimate included oil cooler, egr cooler, heater core, head gaskets both sides and coolant flush. Another dealer looked at it and only recomended coolers and heater core fore $1500. first dealer thinks the truck overheated because of puking coolant was only reason they suggested head gaskets
Briancooper--Seems they all have different opinions, but my tech instantly said oil cooler. However is you are puking a significant amount of coolant it could be head gaskets. I sent you a private message you need to read.
Our usual oil cooler failure repair is replacing the oil cooler, egr cooler, removing the radiator and heater core for flushing, replacing the t-stat and all rubber hoses and flushing the system 5 or 6 times with dish detergent. Seems we're doing one every other week, and never had one that needed headgaskets... (yet)
