here is what i got 2003 f-350 6.0 diesel 5 speed automatic...... ok my transmission will run fine when cold but when it is warmed up it will begin to shift hard between 1-2 and 2-3 then stay in 3 intil i shut it off.. not only does it stay in 3 the rpms jump up about 500 and the o/d light flashes.. when i shut it off and turn it back on the rpms are normal and it is in 1st gear start going again and hard shifts again 1-2 2-3 then again stay in 3 rpms jump again and o/d starts flashing again.. it will continue to do this until i let it sit for hours to cool down completley. i have reset the computer/ cleaned the abs vss.. had the transmission flushed and filter replaced.. (no shavings in pan).. i need help and i really do not want to put a transmission in this beast..
These trannys are electronic controlled with solenoids for shifting buried inside it.
they go bad ,short out, overheat etc...
If you have changed the fluid, filter and inspected the magnet and found very little particles.
amd also you said you changed or cleaned the vss,abs sensor then not much more you can do without the shops equiptment to chk internal pressures.
When the pan was off did you retorque the valve body ,sometimes they loosen up,
epc is electronic pressure control.
Tcc is the torque converter clutch ,which requires the tranny to comeout anyway

Before fixing ANYTHING, you need to know what code was stored in memory when the light flashed. Without the code you are going to waste a lot of money changing good parts.
