front end conversion

is it possible to swap out a front cap on a 2001 f-250 to the new 05-06 f-250. it looks like all i need is to replace the bumper, grille, headlights and possibly the hood but not real sure on the hood. just to clear it up im wanting to put the 05-06 front end on my 01 f-250. just so there is no confusion.

include a new header panel and you'll be set. If you go on Ebay they have a modified 05+ grille with a smaller bottom bar. IF you go that route you will only need the modified grille and new headlights if you want the newer 'jewel' style lamps.

i did the swap on my 01 excursion. need bumper, 2 outer brackets for the bumper, grill, headlights, 9007 to 9008 headlight harness upgrade(got from puredieselpower.com) they show how to cut the header instead of getting a new one. and the grill will screw in on top but the bottom, i used 2 wire ties to hold it. not visable from front and does not move at all. took about 3 hours for everything. bumper bolts directly on to existing holes.

hi i am new here but i did this conversion to my truck you will also need the 05 fog lights the header panel is only like $45 so it would be smarter to just get the new one.. for the bumper you need the upper valance (plastic piece) and the lower one for the 2005.. headlights
pigtails for headlights
front bumper with upper and lower valance
license plate bracket
fog lights
bumper brackets the two that bolt on the front
bumper brackets the 4 that go behind the bumper on the sides (these are not nessesary for the conversion they just secure the bumper more and make it stronger in case you hit something or something hits you)
grille
headder panel
and your set i purchased all this from the ford dealer in minnesota and it cost me roughly 1,400.. i got a great deal and i get plenty of looks.. The parts department now has a picture of my truck and shows everybody who comes in and wants to know what it takes to make there truck a 2005 look a like..

well thats just hella cool. this helps out alot since it will be going in the body shop this week. ill post some pics on here when it is finished. thnx again.

Oh Yeah I Didnt Paint The Upper Piece Silver The Color Of My Truck.. I Left It Black And It Looks Awsome Still But KEEP IN MIND You Also Have To Get That Piece Painted..HOW DO YOU POSTS PICS HERE? I WOULD LIKE TO POST SOME OF MY TRUCK..
