The HID Secure Access System allows organizations with existing HID Prox Card II badges to automatically control access to workstations and computer networks. The HID Secure Access System secures your computers without relying on employees remembering to shut-down, lock-up, and username/password policies.
The HID Secure Access system uses any HID Prox II Cards, Keyfob 1346, ISOProx II (1386), DuoProx II (1336), Smart ISOProx (1397) or SmartDuoProx II (1398) cards.
How the system works:
HID Secure Access System uses HID Prox Card II cards to allow a user access to a stand alone PC or workstation. The system secures the keyboard, mouse and screen after one minute of inactivity. (Screen saver needs to be activate.)
The user does not have to log out every time they leave the workstation. When the user returns and waves the HID badge in front of the HID Secure Access receiver, the system acknowledges the user. The system can be set up with or without passwords. The software immediately recognizes the valid user and returns to the same screen as last displayed. If the user is a new user the computer displays a new desktop for them to work .
The HID Secure Access System® software currently operates on Windows® 2000 Professional, Windows XP® operating systems. Coming Soon running on Windows® 2003 server
