Mirrocraft Boats?

Mirrocraft Boats?
Does Mirrocraft make a decent aluminum boat?
I plan to go look at one near by me this week. It’s a 1985 14 foot deep-V, Mirrocraft "Northport” with a 15 HP Suzuki outboard.
I've learned that buying anything used, it’s a case-by case basis.
But as far as quality goes how do they fit in between the lines of Sears and like Lund boats?
I’m just looking to get a boat for bass fishing on the smaller lakes and ponds near my house.

Mirrocraft is suppose to be a near top of the line boat. I would put it the same or better than a Lund. I am not familiar with that particular model but we bacically beat the bottom out one in my younger years. I still can't believe all of the stumps we jumped, sand bars we skimed across, and due to a major influence of Budwieser we also managed to sink it. And a few hours later the gas tank popped up and we pulled it up on shore and baled her out, took the hood off of the 7.5 Sears engine, poured a Bud on it and started it right up-first pull. It was one tough boat. If I had any idea where to find it, I would buy it and have it bronzed. It should be a statue of what a tough boat really is. Give her a look, even idiots like me can destroy one but it started life as a good boat.

jake00, if you don't mind me asking, what model do you have?
I hope the one I'm going to look at turns out to be a well cared for boat. I've seen so many rats that have been patched and abused.
Also, what’s with this “Mirrocraft” and "Northport relationship?
I’m just clueless!
