The trouble is this: It starts great when cold but when warmed up if you shut it off it will not even attempt to start. It cranks wonderfully but will not start. If you wait for around 30 minutes and try it will start right up again. It has new clean fuel filter, air filter. Anyone experienced this trouble?
yep ipr o-rings when the oil is cold it can build pressure better but once the oil is warm enough it thins out and slips right by those worn o-rings therefore not creating enough pressure (500 psi) to start the engine.
oh make sure you drain your hpop first. or your valley will be flooded with oil. you can do this job its pretty easy. i wouldnt pay anyone. ask away if you need help.
What is the resistive value of the IPR when cranking? Would be nice to know if mine ever did this. I could then just open my magic box of resistors and roadside fix it!
unfortunately its orings and not a resistor to fix this.
although you could bust out some tools and repair it that way.
edit: on 2nd thought maybe you could. dont now what kind of pressure would be present to light em off if you fooled the system but i am sure its possible as long as they are not too long gone.
