5.8 Lightning ID

I bought an 89 grand marguee because I thought it had a 5.0 in it. I hope to put it and the efi in a 64 ford 4x4 pickup. I already have a 5.0 in the truck. As I have started removing this engine and wiring harness I noticed that the throttle body has only one large tube coming from the air cleaner. According to pictures I have seen the 5.8 lightning only has one and the 5.0 has two. The engine I currently have in the truck is carburated.

I plan on running a vin check. But I am curious if they use the same motor mounts. the 5.0 and the 5.8.

The 5.0 in the truck is from an 83 mustang and the c6 from an 84 Bronco.
Will the 5.8 bolt up to the c6?

Yes.. both 5.0 and 5.8 motors use the same motor mounts. You'll want your truck motor mounts as well as the oil pan and pickup. Both motors also have the same tranny bolt pattern.
Truck engines have dual throttle bodies and intake plumbing(except lightning) and cars all have single TB and plumbing. The EFI 5.0 truck intake and 5.0 car intakes are also very different.
Your post is a little confusing but just a heads up..There were no 5.8 EFI motors in cars.

My whole vehicle is a little confusing. It is a 64 4x4 with a 77 4x4 front end under it. Last year I cut out the original front axle and a section of the frame. I replaced it with
the front axle and a section of the frame of a 77 4x4, So now I have power steering, disc brakes, coil springs and a tilt wheel. When I had bought the truck it came with a 83 ford mustang engine and a c6 from an 84 bronco and home made mounts. I am now using the original engine mount towers and transmission mounts from the 77. I used the transimission mount so I could attach the radius arms to the frame. It drives really good down the road. All the power steering pumps and stuff came from an 89 marquee. My goal now is to put the 5.0 from this other marquee and the EFI in it. So now you should be really confused. Thanks for the reply. Here is another thread I have been using for the switch over. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/4...a-64-f100.html
