So Mark Fields has to go to Carrol Shelby to get him to build the Shebly GT within 3 months, because it would take Ford 3 years to through all their internal 'crap' and get the car out to market?
BOLD Move? Yeah, it is. Responding to the dealers THAT quickly. Even though its just a body kit, intake, exhaust as far as I know, they're actually listening and that is something that hasn't been seen very often as of late.
But what does this say about the inner workings at Ford? Would it REALLY take them 3 years to put an intake, exhaust and body kit on the mustang?
What they're saying in these videos is what they NEED to be doing RIGHT NOW, but all they do is talk about it. They even say in some of the videos that they can't just 'talk about it' but.. what are they ACTUALLY doing?
But Captain, did you register to be a part of the Bold Moves forum? Apparently Ford is willing to listen, are you and others willing to participate? We can complain here at the FTE everyday but what good is it if the right folks aren't listening? As I see it, opportunity is knocking and I'm answering the call.
I thought it was kind of pathetic. An add saying in so many words "we don't know what to do....". Meanwhile, Chrysler has the funny ads with Dr. Z. They appear to KNOW what they are doing, and they are telling us so in the ads.
And getting a chuckle.
Maybe Ford thinks they'll get a "mercy ......" purchase out of the public.
Doubt it.
