right behind the back oil header its the number that runs vertical to ground. has some other numbers in front of it and some weird character after it like a 0 with a vertical line through it. my number is 518215. look at this pic to see what i mean. enjoy i did
i used a wire wheel on my cordless and some sand paper
Dude, you are the man! I thought someone might answer if they had it off the top of their head. But you,,,,,,,,went and double checked AND took pics. Brother thank you so much for the effort. I really appreciate it. Guys like you are what make this board work. Thanks.
hey not too sure what you got but thought you might be interested in this he sells a lot of them. i know of a guy who just bought one and already installed it.
good luck i wish i had the $ laying around i might ****** it up if i did.
So everything I need to do this swap are the pump, gasket, grey rtv for the gear cover, and time right? Pull the intake, drain and pull fuel bowl (how hard is that?), pull the pump after removing gear. (does it just slide off once unbolted and stay in there?? I've never looked.) Change the fittings on the pump, and reverse the whole process? Oh wait, what about the ICP switch.....is it a switch. Crap I can't remember if that's the right acronym. You know what I'm talking about right? What's the part #on that? Sorry for all the questions man. I just like to be prepared.
Just saw you last post. That looks like a pretty sweet deal. I got the IPR valve # off his ad. I haven't got my pump yet, I'm looking for the best deal on it, and that may very well be it.
not sure but i am pretty sure the intake can stay on.
fuel bowl not to hard but a pita.
pretty sure the gear just slides off. could be a washer in there too cant remeber.
fittings swap yes. remove the springs(NOT NEEDED) once you pull the fittings on new pump and then install your old fittings.
pretty sure you can use your old ipr. but not positive. you may wanna replace the orings though.

Well I looked at mine while I was at lunch. The sticker was still on the HPOP res. It's 0235xxx. But from everything I've read about the SD pump, you should have a SD IPR valve so it doesn't throw a CEL. That's why I went with the 160cc DIY intensifier pistons instead of the 180cc's in my injector kit. Jim said that I would run the risk of throwing CEL's all the time even with a SD pump. I hate the CEL so I'm trying to cover all my bases before I install everything. Man, I'm gonna have to take a week off work just to do everything. I have everything for my intercooler, injectors, cat coolant swap, and as soon as I get my pump I'm set. As soon as I take off I'll pull the chip and send it back to Jody for a reburn. I'm excited.
wow your gonna be busy. sounds like fun though and you will enjoy when done.
you should buy that pump. even if it goes to about 400 or higher its still a good deal figuring the ipr is around 100 bucks.
i am sure dzljims instructions are top notch but figured i would throw this out there also as it may be of some help who knows. me and joat where pretty set on building our own before the diy setup ever came around until i priced the parts and it worked out better for me to just have bean do it. he carried on and rebuilt a faulty injector himself. he is pretty smart. take care

I'm thinking I'm gonna bid on it. I just have to get clearance from the boss. I had previously seen that page you linked. I've only had a chance to build one of my injectors so far, and Jim's instructions were pretty good and seemed more simple than that write up. But we'll only know when I turn the key right? Thanks again for all your help. Later.
