'06 F250 - might as well not lock it. The pro's in my area (Tampa) have discovered how easy it is to pop the driver's keyway on the newer F250's. I was away from my truck for 3 or 4 minutes and they were done. Goodbye briefcase, laptop and pistol. The procedure also leaves a slight indentation in the door under the keyhole. Rotten b@st@rds!
$400 bucks later I've got an alarm the notifies me if the truck gets violated, but by the time I can get to it they'll be down the road having lunch.
Sorry if this has been discussed before and thanks for letting me vent. Otherwise I still love my truck.
Yep it's been discussed many times, but venting makes one feel better. One partial solution I have heard of was to use the door handles from the rear doors of a crewcab that don't have the door locks so you have ot use the remote to open the door.
Check into Jimmi Jammers, designed to prevent just that attack.
Also, you're in Florida and thus should have a CCH... the pistol should be attached to you so you can defend your property when your alarm pager goes off...
