Shudder on deceleration

So I get new tires and rebuild the front end and I start noticing everything elde that's wrong. I now have a shudder in the truck when I am decelerating at highway speeds (like when I reach the top of a hill and it levels out) and when cruising in town. Could this be the torque converter or driveshaft? My E4OD was rebuilt 130K miles ago and has been flushed every 50K miles. I was on a nice flat road going about 30mph and I threw it into neutral and it seemed to go away. I also changed my differential fluid to Valvoline Durablend Synthetic. I am thinking the parts guy may have given me the wrong stuff. I looked it up afterward and it doesn't seem to match the specs. I did not put any friction modifier in it because he told me I should not need any with a synthetic. Does this sound right? I also can't seem to get the gas mileage I used to 15-16mpg. Now I always get 13-14 with the same driving. It makes me think it's transmission related. Any ideas? Recommendations?

BTW, when I changed the diff. fluid it smelled awful. Is this normal or did I do damage leaving it so long?

What did you repair/replace on the front end?

and have you taken the drive shaft off ? not putting it on the same way it came off can cause shudder.

you need friction modifier if you have limited slip, read code on door, if letter in rear end code than you have ls.

rear end fluid always smells bad, even when new.

change your trans fluid/filter and make sure the convertor is drained also.

I put on new tires, brakes, bearings, coil springs, shocks and next I 'm doing new bushings. I have not taken off the driveshaft and i'm aware that I need to align it in the original position. I think I will change my trans fluid also. It only seems to make sense although i checked it and it looks and smells good.

I can get a litlle more specific with the symptoms. While I'm cruising at about 60-65mph I will let off the gas just a little so that the truck is not quite coasting and it will vibrate for a second until it feels like the drivetrain is catching again. Any ideas what this might be?
