7.3 engine running ruff.I NEED HELP BAD!
I have a 1988 f350 super.It has a 7.3 diesel and started running ruff over night.I called the local diesel store and they told me I had an injector stuck open.Bought a set,replaced and no difference.Changed fuel filter,no diff.It runs like a gas motor with fouled plugs and is hard to start.I`ve herd everything from bent push rods to the clutch is going out.I need someone that knows what they are talking about,with all the possibilities.The truck is old,but it had a rebuilt engine installed 30 thousand miles ago.The last person to help me thinks it`s the injector pump?I can`t keep throwing parts at it cause it gets real expensive.Please,,,,if there is someone that has test`s of any kind or has had the same problem,,please e-mail me at wademaniac@yahoo.com.Thanks....IT is early non turbo 7.3 without cam sensor,,,,just to add,,,the truck was running very smooth and this happened over night.the tach never worked and the amp guage works once in a while.Could be fuel or electric?????
