SuperChips - Economy Mode - for some reason, Performance Mode doesn't change the mpg at all, but since I don't have gauges yet, I don't use it much.

Great forum! I've been lurking/learning here for a while, but decided it's time to chime in.

Gas mileage seems to be 13mpg no matter what, very dissapointing. Haven't taken any long trips since it was new (got around 13-14) and most of my driving now is mixed. A maxed out full tank gets right around 400 miles, and the digital read-out gas mileage is always 12.6.
What is the purpose of Dieselkleen? Why is everyone but me doing that?? Even before I changed to the bigger tires, the mileage wasn't much better. I asked Ford...they said wait until 5K, 7K, and it will start to "lean out". Well, I'm at 7500m and the only thing "leaning out" is my wallet.
I don't mean to whine, it's a truck. I just get jealous when I hear you guys talking about getting 20mpg.

I've been using diesel kleen on just about every fillup. I don't notice any difference in mileage with or without it, then again the claimed 8% increase would barely be 1mpg. Being that I live in a very hilly area I see 11.8 to 12.6 mpg. When I get down out of the hills and on the flats for an extended period of time I can creep it up to 20mpg, as soon as I start going back up the hills it drops down to 13mpg within 45 seconds and then settles back down to mid 12's.

I used Diesel Kleen religiously for almost every tank since new, except last 3-4 fillups. I ran out and haven't got any lately. I see no difference in performance or mileage.
Gets between 13-14mpg mixed driving, doesn't seem to get much better for all highway, even at 2000 rpms.
City only, if I beat on it, I get 11-12
Pulled a small v-nose aluminum enclosed snowmobile trailer with two quads in it and got about 9 mpg at 75-78 mph
I put some OEM 265/65R18 Conti-trac's on 18" chrome steel wheels and got 14-15 mpg pulling small bass boat and 17 mpg empty on long trip. I think I could have gotten 18 except for getting stuck through Chicago for 2 hrs.
Those 35" tall X 13" wide tires really seem to have alot of rolling resistance and you can feel it in the pedal....but it looks so cool
