I have been working on a tranny swap in my '76 Bronco. Looking at the bellhousing from behind, it appears that the engine is tilted down on the driver's side by about 2°. It is also noticeable looking from the front under the hood, the driver's side valve cover is a little lower than the passanger's, and the carburator is off a degree or so also. The motor mounts appear to be OK and are not that old, maybe about 20,000 miles on them.
I am hoping it is normal, that Ford built it that way to counteract the engine's torque. If it is not normal, I would like to corect the problem before I start modifing the crossmember tranny mount and cutting holes in the floor for the new tranny's shifter.
