Turn Signals

Hey Truck Buffs

I have a 61 Unibody...that I've been working on since December... everything works on it but the front turn signals... I've replaced bulbs and everything, the park lights work fine however, when i turn the headlights on the parks go off....Does anyone know, if these front turn signal are actually supposed to work? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

RR, Yes the front TS are supposed to work. I am assuming that the rear TS and stop lights are working. And yes the front parking lights are supposed to go off when the headlights are turned on. Start at the TS wiring harness on the steering column and test for flashing power and ID each of the wires. You should have four wires that flash. Take it from there and keep us posted. By the way do you have 4 way flashers? Look in the glove box for the switch if you cannot find it.

Thanks William,

Yes the rear signals and brake lights work fine...There is a flasher switch under the dash... I hear it blink when i turn the signals on.

I will try testing those wires this weekend...My electrical ability is not the greatest but, it seems simple...
