6.0 tranny cooler

Is the 6.0 tranny cooler a good upgrade? Is it better than the trucool? Does it just fit in the stock location? How much more tranny fluid will i need to add for the bigger cooler? Thanks for your help

Get an old A/C condensor.
Clean it out and bolt it in.
I have done that many times.

my guess is that it will take one, maybe two more quarts than stock. it has 300% of the surface area of the stock cooler. fill the transmission to full, run it for a few seconds and then check the oil while in Park with the engine running. add until it's in the range.

I don't think it would take much more. I can't remember how much fluid it holds stock, but Brian put in 18 quarts when the trans was completely empty, and that filled it perfectly.

IMO, the 6.0 cooler is better than the tru-cool. If I remember, the 6.0 cooler is about twice the size of the tru-cool.
