How to "recover" keypad code?

I just bought a 2000 explorer xlt, 4 door, 4.0. The dealer told me to call ford and they will be able to search the vin and tell me the code. So I called and they told me the code should be on a sticker on the ECU or go to a dealer and have them scan for it. I really dont want to have to pay some one like 50 bucks for 2 min of work so I was hoping someone would be able to help me out. Are these my only 2 options. I havent looked for the sticker and honestly, I dont really know what the ECU looks like. Im guessing its a box with a lot of wires going to it, probably under the drivers kick panel?

PS. Looks like I need to change my ID to 00Red4.0Explorer4x4......lol....

The code should be on the RAP module. It is located under the left rear quarter panel inside trim. If you remove the jack compartment cover you can see the module. There is a data tag with the the code. You may be able to read it with a long handle mirror and flashlight. If not you will need to remove the trim panel.

Hope this helps
