Dear SAlexander:
That's what I've decided to do as well. In almost every case, a driver knows if his brakes are going bad (soft pedal, hydraulic fluid on the inside of the tires, and--of course--that squealing sound when the linings are getting too thin).

I recall that light should go on before you start the motor then go out when running, a safety check thing that lets you know the braking system is ok, state inspection might pick up on that and fail you.

My friend years ago had a 454 chebbie motor in a 71 F250 back when we had to do smog in Kali, a Chinese smog station asked us 390? Yup it's a 390 and it passed smog. They're up on the new plastic throw away cars, Rolling Tampons
