Basic Information Please
First post..... I have been lurking here a few days and am ready to get my feet wet. I have a F250 Super Duty, Power Stroke. I just found a hose on the air inlet cut half in two by a plastic line. It has been that way awhile as the turbo shows wear from unfiltered air.What I need is a beginers manual on necessary maint. and maybe wireing diagrams. What and where should I get books and information.
I have 128k and some serious rv hauling and no problems. I tried the search but no luck. I live in the panhandle of Texas, retired, handicapped, and anything major will have to be handeled by the prows.. However, I am quite capable of the minor stuff. My first car was a '49 Hudson and I had a drivers liscense when I was 13. Started driving when I was much younger. I have looked at several sites and this one seems to be the friendliest and most helpfull. as always, my thanks JDS549

If your turbo is dusted, You probably are not going to fix it for $25.00. The true masters of the 7.3l engines can and will guide you through the complete job. FTE has a forum just for the 99-03 7.3l PSD. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/forum31/ . You should jump over there and repost your concerns. It shouldn't take long before you get help. For now I would think that you will want to rebuild or replace you turbo. Hopefully the dirty air stopped there with the damage. I let the masters go from here. See you on the 7.3 board.
