Question outlaw

just purchased 07 f350 outlaw ( luv this pkg) , anyhow 2400km ,i noticed a rattle noise under cab , the noise is like tiny rocks being rattled in a tin can, my guess was cataletic converter or a muffler problem only noticable when driving slow. Took back to dealer, 2 test rides later yes there is a noise but not sure whats causing it. After 1 day in shop they figure its transfer case or drive line problem, they are ordering drive line parts (not sure what but they are ordering but i'm sure they know more than i do ) , any info would be helpfull, will post when i know more ,also 5.2 km per ltr after 2400 km , started at 3.9 on delivery is this normal , its my first thread + psd . THKS

Check the heatshield that runs above the downpipe and the exhaust. Mine was loose and resting on the downpipe. This caused a rattle at certain rpm's in my case.

My new 06 work truck spare tire heat shield was hitting the exhaust pipe. Took me 2 days to find it. A swift kick by my size 11 work boot fixed the problem.

When was the last time you greased your muffler bearings. lol I crack myself up.

I agree, check the heatshield. Do you have the skid plates? I would just start grabbing and shaking things. (cooled down of course)

Congrats on your first thread.
