Didn't see one yet, so I figured I'd get it started..
Alright, last year I made a thread just like this and I made a prediction of Ravens/Eagles in the superbowl.. they both ended up being 6-10.
Anyway, through watching the ravens in practice/scrimmages/exhibition teams, it is clear that there is a definite urgency within the team and especially a rejuvinated offense with Steve McNair running the show now (so long boller..) The O-line is playing well and Jamal Lewis looks to be back in pro-bowl form, along with mike anderson and musa smith in the backfield.. our RBs are going to punish whoever thinks about tackling them. The wide receivers are solid, and it may be a brake out year for secone year man mark clayton.
I don't even need to get into the defense as thats just a given with ray lewis and ed reed anywhere near the stadium, not to mention our VERY DEEP AND TALENTED defensive line, along with Ray Lewis, Bart Scott and AD, teams are going to fear our front seven. The only thing possibly suspect on the defense is our Safety position alongside Ed Reed, which needs to be filled. Chris McAilster and Samari Rolle will be as solid as ever and Ed Reed is just a play maker.
I like the Bucs from what I see so far this year- but that's not really a predictor of anything. It's tough being a Bucs fan- I'm still not sure they won the SuperBowl, although I still have the T-shirt. I haven't looked at anybody else yet. I'll give you my official prediction in January!
spikedog: I can't wait to see what Larry Johnson does this year, if he keeps pace with what he did last year he will shatter the single season rushing record.
The bucs could suprise.. its all on Sims' shoulders.
patatoe: The bears remind me a lot of the Ravens (the old ravens that is..) incredible defense, but lacking offense.. the success of this team, I think, is on rex grossman (is that who they chose to start now?). I don't know that your running game is that great either, they still need some work before they can be a legitimate contender, imo.
Yeah, they are starting Grossman this year, and hopefully nothing happens to him. (Knock on wood). If they could score one maybe two touchdowns a game on offense I think they'd be doing alright.
The running game is pretty solid I think. Thomas Jones, Cedric Benson, and Adrian Petersons are our backs. I just heard that one of our fullbacks was injured so I'm not sure about that.
Chiefs are goin all the way and winning this year boys. We've got Larry Johnson startin, and Priest Holmes backin him up. That's a record-setting pair, 100% of the time, and fresh. As for the defense, we're getting a secondary put together with Ty Law.
The Lions are going to take it all this year!!!! Of course, I say that every year. My fiance' and I watched the Lions, Bronco's game Friday night and the Lions looked GOOD. But then again, pre-season is just glorified practice, but don't be surprised when the Lions win the Superbowl!

OK
Oh, you were serious?
haha. Mike Martz will probaly get the offense putting up some big numbers, and doing a lot of passing.. but I'm not sure they're ready for the superbowl yet..

I'm tellin ya, I get no respect when I say things like that. But you mark my words, before I die, the Lions will go to the Superbowl..................and not as ushers either!
The best Monday night game of the season will be between the Eagles and the Cowboys. It's gonna be great! Alot of animosity between tose two teams given the T.O. and Eagles relationship, not to mention Eagles and Cowboys have such a strong rivalry. I hope Donovan doesn't choke this time.
I'm not sure how my Saints are gonna do this year they got Drew Brees and Reggie Bush and 1/2 of the team is different than last year. Hopefully they'll do a little better this year (can't do much worse). It was funny the other day during the game the anouncers where discussing how mad they would be if Aaron Brooks goes to the super Bowl with the Raiders. They sited how after Bobby Hebert left he went to the super bowl with the Falcons, Then Jake Delhomme left and went to the super bowl with the Panthers.
