Talking Post gauges vs. LED gauge

Hey guys, I've just completed the second part of my upgrade on my 2000 PSD.
I have the air kit and just put on a turbo back 4" exhaust Pro flow. Now I am ready to put in the computer controller. with gauges, here is the issue, I have seen the very nice post gauges, and now I am seeing more and more of the LCD, and the LED gauges on one screen. I know if the screen goes out your toast, and thats the disadvantage of that product, but the good thing is its all in a neat package. I like the post gauges too! Now the cost, my research tells me its about the same price with everything is done. So my challange to all of you PSD owners, which one do I purchace? The debate is on!

Thanks in advance for your time and replys.

I had asked about this about a month ago and the response i got from most members was that the anolog gauges where tried and tested for years and for the most part very reliable. Most members were leary about the new lcd gauges cause there is to much technology to go wrong and they haven't been out that long. I've never had any gauges until now so i can't really join the debate, just posting the feedback i recieved. Those digital gauges do look nice

Medic...I've been reading alot on this site lately about the autometers having run a bad batch of gauges and alot of people having to return them. Don't know if they are fixed now.

I have the X monitor and it works awesome. One thing is that if the sun hits it just right it is hard to see. happens only once in a while.

the only digital gauges i would use would be the spa's ive got there pyro/boost gauge in my truck and love it. you can set it to have the warning lights come on at certain temps and boost levels, so it gets your attention when they get up there. and there made by a company that makes electronics for race cars so the quality, reliability, and accuracy are there.
