I just installed a 6" lift and 20" wheels on my son's 2001 Ford F-150 4x4.

The speedometer is too slow now.

The truck also seems to be real sluggish now. Especially the shifting seems to occur too early.

I don't want to spend another $300 with an expensive tuner to only be able to adjust the shift timing and speedometer.

My son is only 16 and needs no more power than stock.

Is there an inexpensive, but effective way to adjust the speedometer and shift timing back to where it was before the wheel mods?

The dealer can usually do these adjustments for about 1 hrs labor.

 

I took the truck in and they were unable to do it...only F250's in this year have the capability via the computer.

 

try a performance shop where they can sell u the programer a big one might have software to do just theis or a programer to work on many trucks then they can go in and flash ur obd
