I have a 2005 F350 PSD DRW with 27,000 miles. I just put on new tires and I was wondering if I upgraded shocks would I really be able to tell any differance in the ride and/or handling of the truck?
I added hellwig swaybars and bilstein shocks and the ride and drive improved dramatically. It was like night and day difference. The stock shocks were already junk at 25K. Eshocks.com has great prices and no I'm not a vendor for them and I don't make anything for saying this. Just my .02
i agree. i love bilstein shocks. the difference is amazing. they even took my girlfriends lifted jeep, which could cuase a headache just from a ride around the block. and made it so we can now take roadtrips with it!
keep it ford
Sorry for digging up an old thread. I have a 2004 250 diesel CC with an FX4 option and 30k miles--I need new shocks and was curious if anyone had the part numbers for the Bilsteins front and back. Much appreciation.

Go to either Bilsteins website where they have a PDf file listing of the them... or call eshocks.com and have them help you.
Eshocks.com offers free UPS shipping when you buy 4 of them and they were the cheapest for the shocks and shipping when added together. Makes a difference if your raised up or not over stock or what kind of Bilstein shock you want.
YUP--2WD or 4WD is all I remember when I ordered mine from eshocks. I actually had to order for an 03 since the 04 2WD wasn't listed and ford said it was a different shock. I think the 250's are different than the 350's too, but not sure there. It's pretty much fool proof to get the right shock from their website--Bilstein's ARE the only way to go.
are the rancho shocks that come on the superduty's FX4 trucks, really junk at 25-30k ? i too will be going with the bilstein's when i determine whether or not the rancho's are wore out or not my 2006 f250 fx4 has 33k on it, how do i determine if they are wore out or not? or do u just change them every 25-30k reguardless? is there really that big of a noticable difference from stock rancho to bilstein's? sounds like there is alot of satisfied superduty owners with bilstein's out there........
i know alot of guys run billsteins, ive been running edelbrock's perfromer ias shocks in every vehicle ive owned for the past 8 years or so, a couple trucks and cars... just another option, they are priced about the same and a have a special valve that opens fast when a harsh bump is hit to soften the hit, i think there great shocks.
