I replaced my brakes, rotors, and wheel bearings on the front of my 99 f150(XTL, 2 wheel drive, standard trans, 4 wheel abs, 4.2 eng). After getting everything installed I went for a test drive. When I reached 40 mph the stearing wheel started to shake very bad and didn't go away if I went any faster. Any ideas on what I didnt wrong?
I noticed when I removed the end nut holding the bearing and rotor to the hub that it didn't take much effort at all to loosen it. I dont know what the specs are on the torque it takes to tighting it is, but I may of put to much reinstalling it. I figured I would try that first.
