Still planning to head out in the morning from Omaha. I'll have to be the odd-man-out and bring one of the cars, I don't really want to drive the 74 all the way down to KC.

According to Mapquest, when I get down to KC, I should take I-435 east to I-70 east and then take the Sterling Ave Exit (#10). Looks like Gates is just short distance off the highway. Hope that is right, Mapquest has given me bad info more than once!

Heck with the pics lets bring back some BBQ.... Gates is my favorite place to eat down there. I love when that girl starts hollering at my wife and she freezes and orders the biggest thing on the menu. I laugh every time. I love the Beef on bun.. Have a good one.

I have the truck washed, fueled and everything staged to load tomorrow morning. Looks like a fast stop at Micky D's for a sausage muffin and I'll head that way.

Hey Rob, didn't talk to ya much, but checked out your gallery. The 74 is SHARP! Is there any rust on that thing at all?

Ryan,
Unfortunately, the rust blends in pretty well, it's the same color as the truck... It's got rust in the typical spots, over the wheel wells and along the bottom of the super cab. I hope to get it taken care of pretty soon.

The inside of the bed is still rust free, not sure what's wrong there ??

The only thing I wish was that the truck was a 4x4...
