check the fuse, relay, check if the indicator light on the dash comes on, check with a test light at the headlight plug to see if you are getting a signal.
the dash indicator does not come on.
Fuses are good.
Relay? Is there a relay in the fuse panel?
Also the super brights or passing lights or whatever you call them dont work either.
Low beam , dash lights etc all work normal.
Since the dash indicator does not come on, it seems that you're not getting a signal from the multifunction switch (the lever for the blinkers, wipers, and hi-beams).
Double check fuse #16 under the dash, 15A fuse, just in case. It's for the high-beams. However... since no indicator on the dash, makes me still think that truck isn't seeing the signal from the multifunction switch to activate hi-beams.
It is the big lever that controls your headlights, blinkers, and high beams, coming out the left side of the steering column. I think I recall it being a $120 part or so, but I can't remember for sure. You can replace it yourself if it's the problem. But a Ford dealership could take care of it as well.
Check your local parts house. You can likely get one from them cheaper. Some of them can order it in Motocraft if they have a distributor that carries them.
