What MOD Next?

Alright guys,

I've got a 2001 F-250 crew cab 4x4 PSD with about 115k miles on it. It is bone stock exept for the gauges, severe duty ais, 4in MBRP exhaust, BTS valve body, and jody chip I'm ordering this week. Its gonna be a very fun week!

My question is-What mod should I do next? Looking to gain power,tq,hp - yall know the deal. Man, I've got this PMS bad. Oh well, what do yall think?

I would say you ought to take care of the in tank and prepump mods along with the fuel injection feed/return system before you do anything else. Probably should have done it before the DP but I've no experience with Jody on that. With my TS chip, they didn't seem to care. Hmmm?

Bottom line, get rid of the air that could get there. Then move on.

does anyone have any links to the fuel mods. In tank, pre pump, or fuel injection feed or return system. I've read guzzles info and done some searches. Any advice on what parts i am going to need and where to get them. Thanks

Ponch, check the common mods link and some of the users galleries. I've become too lazy to finish my gallery but others have good stuff. I know what you are planning to do with your rig and you really need to take care of your fuel issues before you go any further.

JTharvey has a good gallery of the pay for it as I like it assembly. Kwikkordead has a good make it youself system that I emulated sort of, then there's the order from vendor systems that are great but costly. I think my manual bleed sytem is kinda unique here. If I ever get around to remounting my skid plate below the fuel tank with my sump, I will be updating my gallery from front to rear. Until then, it is running like a BOH.

Once you get a little more fuel to it with the above mentioned systems, you may look into a turbo upgrade, especially if you're pushing much over 25 psi with the stock turbo. Prob need a MAP regulator too to keep the SES light from tripping with an overboost code. Van turbo is a decent upgrade to look at.

If you are adding power, you might want to take another look at your turbo. With a higher HP tune, you may end up running into surge issues with your turbo like I have. I'm not sure where you live, but here in Colorado it's a horrible nightmare for me.

At least get an ATS housing to cure any surge issues.

Or you can upgrade your turbo to something like a 1.0 A/R turbine housing, or get a replacement like a Turbonetics or a BB. All depends on how much you want to spend, and how much more power you plan to make in the future.

I can fix you up with a FASS 150gph pump and a water/meth system with pricing the WILL NOT be beat!

If you go to look for a turbo the GDS Ball buster works great and I can set you up with one of those for a song as well!

Thanks
Daniel
