agreed. love the pics of the hummingbird bob.
i was sitting on a job 2 weeks ago, and saw 2 new birds in a stand of thistle bushes. the first was a pair of golden finches. beautiful birds. they were tearing the thistles apart for the seeds.
the second was a bumblebee hummingbird. it was hitting every flower.
they were there for a good 45 minutes before a crow scared them away.
they never look as good in the books as they do in person.
Nice shots, I use a D70 as well. I especially like the squirrel, those little buggers are geniuses when it comes to getting to food. I remember seeing a show on discovery, animal planet, etc where obstacle courses where being set up to see if and how long it would take the squierrels to get to the feeder. They got there everytime, even on feeders that were "squirrel proof".
do you ever use photoshop? If so, and you havent done it, you ought to mess with the levels, curves, and color balance. Just a slight tweak could have profound effect on shots like the hummingbird. Also, a good cropping would really make it pop. Very nice pics at any rate. What settings did you use for the hummingbird? Do you have the EXIF data?

Thanks for your post, and suggestions. I use Nikon Capture for post-processing the "raw" files. If you bring the photo site up, and click on the humming bird picture, there is a menu under the picture. You can select the EXIF data from this menu. PM, or e-mail me if you need more information.

I thought I lost these but I found them tonight... A couple pics of a dragonfly. 170 - 240K I only wish it would have landed on something lighter to contrast a bit better.
