Side Exit Exhaust Pipe??
Does anyone know of any vendors that sell a 4" side exit exhasut pipe for 2004 6.0 PSD? I have the 4" SS MBRP system, but looking to change the exit to in front of the rear wheel (just to be a little different than the stockers out there).
I know I can have a custom one made, but was hoping there might be one off the shelf.
I know many on here have done this....were these all custom installs?

BuickTurbo - nice truck/exhaust. That is what I'm wanting...but didn't consider the soot on wheel/tire that Mark @ DPPI mentioned. Maybe I'll reconsider...still would be nice to have though.....I'll bet you get a little deeper sound out of it also since there is less pipe before exiting...

The soot has not been an issue. I wash it maybe every week-week 1/2. The only time I noticed discoloration within the wheel was after a couple of hard launches and some highway take offs. Normal driving has not clouded the rim.

Oh yeah, a 6.0 with a side exit like that......I think it would shatter windows from the turbine.

I have not done it with my 6.0, however, I did do it with my first truck. A 78 Ford with a 400M. I put duals on and had them turned out before the wheels. It sounded AWESOME. Very deep and throaty, as a V8 should. It was not TOO loud though. Neighbors could hear me coming, but no worse than anyone else out there. When my exhaust needs replacing I will consider doing it to this truck too.

6.0 side piped
I bought this truck with the exhaust piped out in front of the rear duals. The only mods are the K&N air filter system and 4" exhaust; with side pipe.(for now)
With that said, My tires/rims are not sooty. Dusty, but not sooty.
Since I have not heard a 7.3 with this set-up, I cannot compare, but it does remind me of a Tweet with a nice rumble.

I am building dual side exits for my truck now actually..ill put up some pics when its done. i have 5" straight stack with no muffler or cat now..and its really loud, sounds alomost like a really loud horn when you hit 2500, and the turbo whistle is great.
