I do not know how to post a pic. but it is a "FORD" box, about 3x5" with digital RPM display with buttons that say 'RPM Control', 'Charge Protect', and 'Power' on the top, and up and down arrows on the right side. What the heck is it? Thanks!
That's an Aux Idle Controller - wish my truck had one. Charge protect bumps up the eng RPM's to maintain/charge the bats when you have a heavy electical load, Power if I remember right is used to bump up the RPM's for a trans PTO and, RPM control allows you to set/change the engine idle RPM's. These are great for trucks that spend extended time idling. (W/ the AC on in the summer for example)
I would be interested in buying it from you if it works and the price is not too steep. I have been looking for one to keep my truck at a high idle during the summer months.
in the reply page, in the light brown background, right below the drop arrow to the right of the [size] box, there is a yellow icon with a mountain in it. get the URL of the image if it is uploaded to the net, post it in the box, and highlight it. click on that button and it will put a [IMG] hang tag at the beginning and a [/IMG] tag at the back. or in photobucket there is an option that already has the IMG tags around it.
if it is on your computer, scroll down to "Additional Options" right below the Submit Post area. click on Manage Attachments, and browse your computer for the file.
I believe you have to set your parking brake before it will engage. At least that's the way ours are set up on 2 church buses. After setting the brake, press charge protect then the large FORD button. It should ramp up.
