2000 5.4 Won't Start

2000 5.4 Won't Start
I didn't run a search, cause I don't have a lot of time. I have a 2000, 5.4 XLT. automatic. Everything was good. Today the wife went shopping, no problem. Came home, parked the truck, an hour later it won't start. I had a new key made at the dealer last week, but the theft light goes out, so it's recognising mine and hers. Acts like a dead battery, the solenoid clicks once for each time the key is turned. Tried a boost, same thing. Battery gauge shows over half way, and the battery shows a green button in the window, so I don't consider the problem the battery. Both connectors are tight. I'm at a loss and have to go out of town early.....and I'm losing daylight. Can anyone help??

Much obliged racerguy. I do believe that was it. Got underneath, saw some green corrosion, started taking the nut off, and the eyelet just broke in half. Steel nut on a brass stud! Disimilar metals = corrosion. Don't know what they were thinking, unless it was planned obsolesence
. Gotta wait till the parts store opens and try get a new cable. Then we'll see if that was it. Pretty sure you hit it though. Thanks again.
