heres a odd one guys .the old captain needs some help him self.
i did the truck up added a real nice looking mbrp cool dauls exhaust to my super duty.only problem is it's just a tad to loud for the local law.
does any one know where i can get some slip in exhaust baffles that will fit inside a 4 inch 409 stainless pipe? i'm thinking inline of some thing like used inside a motor cycle pipe thats tunable with a few baffles. any help is much needed as i like the looks of the duals and don't want to return to the flowmaster single i had.
What kind of tips do you have? Going to same size might help, or you can have a shop put in a 5" pipe in line with the muffler to act as a resonator, that will quiet it down some.
straight 4 inch from the muffler back. i was thinking of some thing to fit inside the pipe like a motor cycle baffle that can be tuned and repacked as needed.
Captchas, I had my exhaust custom fabricated with stainless steel true duals - SS mini cats and SS magnaflow mufflers, a really beautiful setup. I get some droning and is seemingly louder at times and varying during shifting. Tomorrow, the guys are going to install SS high-flow resonators between the mufflers and mini-cats. They told me that a resonator tip will do almost no reduction for the noise, so we are going with the resonators which are a high-flow refector type setup. That they say will do the trick without compromising on exhaust flow. The reflector types bounce the exhaust sound back at the incoming gases which cancel each other out (noise-wise) Might be a solution for you too. I also am NOT going back to a single setup, besides this exhaust cost me a small fortune and is a perfect setup, esp. after the resonators tomorrow.
did you get a ticket for noise violation or something...i cant beleive its too loud with 4 cats and amuffler
yep a young punk cop.$150.00 please . 05 calif emissions v10 has 2 cats one each side bolted to the exhaust manifolds .
and thanks guys . with your help i have found baffles that fit inside the 4 inch tail pipes and hopefully they will work to tone it down just a tad .esp between 1500 and 2k rpm wher eit's the worst in loudness.
thanks man these are what i was looking for. i'm going to try one in front of the muffler in the connector pipe to see how much it helps the straight through and add one in each tail pipe if needed. other wise it's back to the stock system . this v10 is just way to loud uncaped ,

Why are you insulting the officer? He's just doing his job. You put loud pipes on it... they violated local law... and you got popped. The fault is squarely on your shoulders, not the officer who wrote you.
captchas, I've never tried them, could you post how well or if they work. I have wanted to to try them in my race truck (Dodge 440 742hp 3.5" pipes flowmaster race mufflers class 8,....sorry), give me more chances to drive it on the street. I know, not a Ford, but I use my F-250 SD to pull it.

fresh out of school thats how young and punk. and while it's loud and i admit that the ricers are louder by 10 times.
plus when i showed him my step brothers badge copy he's a statie", meaning i'm cop family's member he went wild and added 4 more that don't have any thing to do or are wrong with my truck like a light out. bad tires "they were brand new the week before" his cheif is very mad about the false ones as i went right to his house.
yes i'm at fault for it's tone which the company states is'nt there at that amount. but going ape and acting punk with a badge should never be shown in public. there he is fully one who should never be a officer and he just may not be much longer.
the others where just out to meet their quotas .
i admit it was a tad loud and i am at fault for not taking it right back off. but i am a officers family member and i fully under stand what being a good officer is all about. and how they are trained to act in public while in uniform. this one was way out of line. the other 3 just did thier job wrote it up and very politly said tone it down man. and added great looking ride .
yes the v10 is a grutie machine but so is a straight piped psd . still neither one is as loud as a 4 banger far east ricer car the way they are run today. and man they are louder around me lately
